You know, I never would have thought I would hear myself say this: But, I REALLY AM THANKFUL that my second born son was born with so many skin problems. Rashes, distended tummy, diarrhea, blown out behaviors, and mild asthma were not uncommon for him. After a long journey of eliminating MANY suspected causes, researching hours on end for what, when, how... WHY?? ... I finally have a son who doesn't react HALF the way he used to. Regrettably, I still hear the high pitched whistle when he coughs and he still has skin-colored bumpy arms. Yet, how far we've come with him is AMAZING!! I no longer see the major skin problems, the distended tummy, nor the diarrhea. The behaviors I used to see daily now happen once a month, if that (most positive behavior, we believe, are due to behavior modification strategies, as we switched methods with him later on to match the way we parented our first-born).
So, yes. Having allergies can sometimes be a blessing in disguise. I don't want to minimize those people who truly do have life-threatening allergies. For them, they may not appreciate what I've come to know and who can blame them. But, thankful for the past four years of research we are now living a lifestyle, which will see our children far healthier than they would have ever been. When one does the research (not through popular media), they will find the truth and lies behind the billion dollar industries who care more for their short term goals than our long term health. I still have a lot to go, but I am grateful for how far we've come.
Thanks J. :)

Amen to that. We feel exactly
Amen to that. We feel exactly the same way, if it wasn't for my reaction to stuff, we would be much worse off health and diet wise I am sure!
