Update on my world.

Well, if you couldn't already tell, it's been a famine around here. Couldn't feel any better really. Not that blogging is the only thing I'm referring to. Facebook comes to mind. I think that being on the computer, "socializing", served a purpose while I transitioned "away" from my Ontario friends and ventured down the path of finding completely new friends, here in Nova Scotia.

Yet, now is a new day. I have found some amazing "kindred" spirits. Here in Halifax, there really are many who have something about them that I am drawn to. The culture here is really a bit of a shock. I've never met a nicer community. The cars stop to let you pass by two lanes of traffic to turn left. Cars also stop to assist in your illegal jay-walking...

...not always so safe, but it's the thought that counts. :)

There are many "hippy-ish" people here. I've never been in a community that was so green!! Some people here don't see it. Coming from Southern Ontario... I see it all too clearly. :)

Have I mentioned I love it here!?

The kids keep me moving, of course. S has found some sort of creative streak. Grrr to that... (loosely joking). ;) I do not have a creative bone in my body (other than singing, I suppose). S is constantly asking to do crafts of some sort and I am constantly having to find things on the internet to help him! HAHA! How did people do it without the internet!?!?! The library is great, of course. However, I have WAY too many fines to keep going there on a regular basis. Oops.

J, is my explorer still. You know... one of those who likes to take things apart. A recent cell phone comes to mind (don't worry, it was already broken). I have a suspicion he will stay this way.

N is a beautiful blend of both boy and girl. My kind of girl. :) She is a charmer. I can't believe my "baby" is two and a half!! By now I would have had a fifteen month old!! I had been pregnant at 6-months postpartum with each of my others. I absolutely love how closely spaced my kids are! They are all learning around the same things at the same time! Less work for me... YAY!! As those of you know, kids aren't always the same and hence don't learn the same way. S is a "visual learner" (aren't we all in some way)? I think that S, however, "needs" to see things and when he does, he retains it so well!! Something I need to think of when I'm homeschooling him, perhaps compared to the others.

I so still go back and forth with homeschooling. This September will be Stosh's "official" school year in Nova Scotia. I will definitely be homeschooling this year. I'm simply taking one year at a time. :)

We are getting our home a bit more in order. We bought a "flip". The last two homes we've been in have been "flips". The more this house comes together, the more I want to keep it more organized. :O *shock* It helps that my youngest is getting older and more able to make her bed and put away her clothes. Labour in this home is becoming more shared and that's always a good thing.

Still not sure if we're staying in this home either. HAHA! My father has always called me a gypsy. I suppose it would make sense. I've been to over fifteen different schools in my lifetime. That, all before grade 10. It is my destiny. *wink*

Well, that's us in a nutshell. Oh, and I needed more wood to knock on. Of course, fate would have it that as soon as I posted my "kids are not sick this winter" blog, that my kids have been sick ever since. HA! *figures* Well, that optimistic self in me says, "they still avoided the first half of all the sickness that went around this winter. They also avoided all the flu's that were all around us. As well, other than their cough and a runny nose (nothing a little garlic can't cure), you might never know their crazy selves had ANYthing wrong. YAY to that!

Where's that wood again!!!!

D. Nice to hear whats going

D.

Nice to hear whats going on in your life. I'm so happy you've found a community of people to connect and identify with.

Send S. on over for some craftiness with my kiddos. When they get older they create their own projects, just keep the house stocked with fabrics, wood pieces, paper, glue, markers, pencil crayons, pipe cleaners - you know crafty stuff and they'll figure out ways to put it all together and seriously clutter up your house with their creations LOL!

I can believe it Renee! Stosh

I can believe it Renee! Stosh at 5 is already coming up to me and showing me boats, kites, and you name what else that he's created without any inspiration from me whatsoever!? I'm scared he's gonna build some kind of extreme-sport-contraption and take off from our roof one day soon... yes... he 'is' that crazy. *rolleyes*

Ah! That explains why Amelia

Ah! That explains why Amelia likes him so much! He is a daredevil just like her! tee hee!
